One of the city's oldest lakes is this one. It is a terrific location to visit in Bengaluru because of this reason.
Water is flowing in its centre and is all around, open to the sky. Ulsoor Lake is one of a select few lakes in the world with this unusual geometry.
Many people think that King Kempe Gowda built Ulsoor Lake sometime in the second century. This lake was formerly known as the "Halsur" or "Alasur" lake.
The legendary Kempe Gowda had a dream in which God Someswara appeared to him and revealed a secret treasure.
With a total area of 123.6 acres, Ulsoor Lake is Bengaluru's oldest natural attraction. The lake has increased the city's greenery and cultural heritage value.
