7. Siena With its well-preserved mediaeval city, Siena, which is located in the heart of Tuscany, allows visitors to travel back in time.
8. Sicily Sicily, the largest island in the Mediterranean, is located just across from Italy's southernmost point, in the constricting Strait of Messina.
9. Italian Lake District Northern Italy is home to the Italian Lake District. Most lakes' southern ends are generally flat, whereas their northern ends are hilly.
10. Pisa The imposing remains of Pisa's past heyday as a trade powerhouse during the Middle Ages are still visible today.
It can take months to see everything there is to see and do in Rome. However, taking a hop-on, hop-off bus trip is one method for visitors to see the best of the city.
