Karnataka's Kemmanagundi is a lovely hill station. Karnataka's Ooty is another name for it. It is located in the Chikmagalur district of Karnataka's Tarikere district.
It is surrounded by rich green foliage, lovely dreams, lovely gardens, and green valley and mountain crests and troughs.
It is located on the Baba Budan Giri Range's outskirts. The mountain range rises 1,434 metres above sea level.
It used to be Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV's summer retreat, but he eventually surrendered the beautiful property to the Karnataka government.
Because of its tranquil ambience, it is also known as the Queen of Hills. Throughout the year, the weather is relatively cool and pleasant.
The trek's attractiveness is that it may be visited from several points. The entire width of the hike is adorned with waterfalls, dams, and magnificent flora.
Spending a few days in and around the range includes Jeep drives, safari tours, walking expeditions, and waterfall picnics, to name a few activities.
Buses from the states of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu operate. Mangalore Airport is 219 kilometres away. Birur Junction, 32 kilometres away, is the closest station.
A number of homestays and resorts are available in the tranquil hill-station area, and these accommodations can be easily reserved in advance.
