History of Kankaria Lake
It is said that this lake was constructed 500 years ago, i.e., around the 15th century. Sultan Muiz-ud-din Muhammad Shah started the construction of this lake. It was completed by Sultan Qutb-ud-din Ahmad Shah II.

Kankaria Lake is very famous for its beauty. An amusement train is also present in Kakaria Lake to entertain the children. This train circumambulates the entire pond for about 3 km. This beautiful and full of entertainment train is known by the name of former Prime Minister of India Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji, i.e. Atal Express. On this train, many people can sit together and enjoy walking around the whole pond.
Among the most beautiful places of Kankaria Lake, the garden in the middle of it is very famous. This garden is known as Naginawadi. It has been built like an island in the middle of the lake. Water is present around this garden, which looks like the logo of the State Bank of India. While standing in Nagina Wadi, the view of Kankaria Lake looks very pleasing when looking around. Every year in the month of December, a one-week program is celebrated by Ahmedabad Corporation. This event is known as Kankaria Carnival. Everyone looks forward to this festival. Along with this, many programs like dog shows, laser shows, gymnastics, and scuba diving are also organized.

Kamala Nehru Zoological Museum:
Many animals can be seen in this zoological museum. Among them, animals like fox, bear, wild elephant, lion, reindeer, monkey, jackal, crocodile and many species of birds are also found. There is a crowd of people to see this zoo.
